About
Meet R.G. Taylor
R.G. Taylor is a multidisciplinary artist, author, and creative entrepreneur whose work bridges visual art, storytelling, and community engagement. Born and raised in Chicago, Taylor draws inspiration from both the architectural rhythm of his hometown and the tropical vibrancy of South Florida, where he now lives and works. A self‑taught painter, his work explores color, emotion, and the universal human experience.
Taylor’s artistic identity is rooted in a powerful family lineage. His father studied at the American Academy of Art (Chicago), and his mother was a talented Tole painter whose decorative technique, attention to detail, and love of handcrafted beauty left a lasting imprint on his creative development. Together, their influence shaped Taylor’s belief that art is both a personal expression and a shared legacy.
Taylor is the top‑selling author of Spike and the Holiday Parade, a children’s book that blends whimsy with themes of belonging and celebration. His paintings have been featured in galleries, restaurants, and cultural spaces throughout Palm Beach County, and he is professionally represented by Easton Art Galleries.
In 2026, Taylor accepted the invitation to serve as Artist & Author in Residence with the No More Starving Artists Foundation (NMSAF) at The Peach in West Palm Beach, a role that deepens his commitment to community-centered creativity. Through this residency, he curates exhibitions, leads interdisciplinary events, collaborates with local authors and performers, and develops programming that connects families, collectors, and emerging artists. His work with NMSAF emphasizes accessibility, mentorship, and the belief that art can serve as a bridge between personal history and shared cultural identity.
Taylor continues to build a multifaceted career that blends community engagement, creative entrepreneurship, and a growing artistic legacy—positioning him as a dynamic cultural voice in Palm Beach County and beyond.
