Meet R.G. Taylor
R.G. Taylor was born and raised in the suburb of Bridgeview, Illinois. R.G. received his Bachelor’s of Science degree majoring in TV, Film, Radio and Performance from Oral Roberts University. He is a professional artist, author, actor, director, producer, radio show host, teacher, and speaker.
AUTHOR
R.G. is a Best-Selling Author reaching #7 on Amazon in its Children's Book Category. As an educator turned author, R.G. received valuable inspiration and feedback as a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in the South Florida Area.
R.G.’s storytelling began with his own two children and the bedtime tales he created for their enjoyment. When he’s not sharing yet another story about Pugs with his kids, R.G. is enjoying good food and creating art. Spike and the Holiday Parade is his first book in a planned series.

ARTIST STATEMENT
"The source of my work is from my inner being. The work has a consistency of applications composed of bold and faint strokes spontaneously intertwining while producing the multi-layers. The overall quality is vibrant, yet balanced.
I use acrylic on paper or canvas using a brush, glass orbs, the occasional golf ball and glitter. The marks are applied with intentionality and precision. The decision-making, or action is based on instinct and is the direct path to creation. I express what is inside - thoughts and feelings. These flow through me.
The art has allowd me to explore further inward. The deeper I go inward, the more I want to expand outward. I become contemplative yet thrilled. Painting shows me that there is more. I am more. As I expand out, so to does the work.
The meaning of the art is intrinsic to the physical aspects of the painting: the interactions of colors and strokes create the movement and drives my curiosity. My artistic journey asks "Where to next?"
